This clever package is designed to work without any cabled connection between the car and caravan. The camera is magnetic, and rechargeable. It simply attaches to a magnetic plate on the caravan. The monitor sits on the dash in the car.

The rear view mirror is often absent, but if present a very useful mounting bracket for a monitor. This system has two cameras. One is aimed at the road immediately behind the van, the other further out to simulate the view that would normally be achieved if you were in your car. The camera detects when the reversing lights are operated to switch between the two views.
There are numerous options, dash mounted monitors, and single camera systems too.
