We can offer Members of the Caravan and Motorhome Club camping facilities within our grounds, right on the edge of Great Leighs village in Essex.

The site offers 5 grass pitches which are very generously spaced, within a private paddock that is surrounded by mature hedgerows. The camping area is well mown, the rest being left as a wildflower meadow. It is tucked away out of sight from our home and workshops, and the only visitors will be the wildlife. The adjacent land is occupied by neighbouring farms and a riding stables.

At present there are no electrical hookup facilities, but we can offer the use of a small private washroom with toilet and shower, making it the perfect pitstop for small camper vans. A washing up area is also now available with hot water. In addition to the usual service points, we can offer a drive over drain for motorhomes to empty their grey water tank.

The site is adjacent to a woodland nature reserve, and this can be reached within 2 minutes by leaving the site through a pedestrian gate and following the public footpath. Dogs are most welcome, but we ask guests to keep them on leads and well away from our neighbour’s rare breeds.

Things to note

We cannot accommodate twin axle caravans or motorhomes in excess of 8m long. This is due to the nature of the access to the site.

At present there are no hard standings or electric hookups. This is planned for the future.

There is an unfenced pond on the site, but some distance from the camping area – parents please note.

Unfortunately the condition of the ground and the lack of appropriate modifications in the washroom make Longlands unsuitable for those with mobility issues.

Customers wishing to combine a service visit and an overnight stay are most welcome. Phone or email to check availability using the contact details above.
